My good friend, Tom Vickers, has managed to convince me to take part in the Sports Relief, one mile run for charity.
The aim of the game is to raise money though sponsorship, this can be done either online or offline. The online option supposedly being the easiest, ha!
In reality, the online option doesn’t even work, it hangs on the confirmation of payment details!
Another issue I found, has been the increasing of my fundraising target, the box echo’s your current target, it includes the pound symbol before your current amount, now try and increase the value after the symbol, what happens? The form returns an error message:
“Please ensure your online goal is a valid currency input.”
Okay, so the easy fix is to remove the pound symbol, but shouldn’t the developers have thought this one through?
My point? Errr… Test your web applications before allowing the public to use them.
