So I’ve finally launched my updated site, the update I first spoke of many months ago! I’m lazy, these things take time…
All the planned “features” have made their way into the new site; the visual design stays the same as after three years it still works. The code has been updated to fix a few display issues with higher/widescreen resolutions.
I had planned a complete rewrite of the content, but in the end, some of the old stuff was already good, just needed tweaking to reflect the three years which have passed since the first site was launched.
I’ve done some cool things with the Flickr badge generator, from displaying icon sized screenshots to making up my portfolio page. I’ve also used Flickr to display a random photo of me on my about page, that does mean slightly less professional photos do appear every so often – but it gives the site a more personal touch!
Since moving hosting platform in January, we’ve had 100% uptime. For this update, I’ve renamed and altered the hosting line-up. There are now three packages based on the amount of webspace and bandwidth you require. The limits on mail accounts, subdomains etc have been removed and will show up in your cPanel as unmetered. If you’ve paid for an upgrade within the past 6 months on any of the account features which have now been set to unmetered, get in touch and I’ll issue you with a full refund.
Well that concludes this post, please let me know if you spot any bugs or typos!
