I have noticed the ads kick in around 30 minutes after starting to listen and then every 3 or so songs each day. I love the fact that you can share playlists and allow people to collaborate creating social music playlists. Another feature I like is the playlists are attached to your login and not the computer so when I am at home or work I can get the same music! The only downside for me (and probably a lot) is i listen on my ipod quite a bit so would need to by the music to get it on there. Sure there will be an iphone app in the future...
